Christ Church (UR), Epsom Road, Leatherhead

Come and worship with us!

Sunday 10:30am.
(See Calendar for 6:30pm evening worship at LMC)

Our mission: to worship God and share the good news of God's love for all through the person and teaching of Jesus Christ. To achieve this we will nurture our people, glorify God through our worship, love and serve others in the community and seek to bring people into relationships with Christ.

We invite everyone of all backgrounds and persuasions to join our church family in weekly worship. Our Minister leads our worship on two Sundays a month, alternating with retired ministers or accredited lay preachers of the United Reformed Church, or other denominations. Traditional hymns and modern worship songs, chosen by whoever is leading worship, are led by the choir with pipe organ or piano, and an anthem and organ music are regular features.

Local churches
The Revd Lynda Russell (Methodist) is Minister of our church and of Leatherhead Methodist Church (LMC). We are seeking a closer relationship with LMC.

Both churches belong to a Joint Pastorate of five churches, including Cobham URC, Cobham Methodist Church and Effingham Methodist Church, and the joint Minister of these three Cobham and Effingham churches is the Revd Kim Plumpton (URC). Click to see the pastorate newsletter.

Leatherhead Parish Church, LMC and Christ Church have formed special links as the three Leatherhead Uniting Churches, part of the wider group of Churches Together in Leatherhead.

Formed in 1829 as an independent Congregational church, we became part of the United Reformed Church (URC) in 1972. We receive guidance from the Surrey Pastoral Committee of the Surrey & Sussex Synod Area of the Southern Synod of the URC.
